Empowering Leaders. Strengthening Organizations. Inspiring Change.
Faizan Syed is a nationally recognized civil rights advocate, author, political strategist, nonprofit consultant, and leadership coach with over a decade of experience advancing civil rights, building organizations, and empowering communities across the United States.
Throughout his career, Faizan has worked at the intersection of politics, nonprofit leadership, faith, and social impact. From advising political campaigns and leading civil rights organizations to developing innovative fundraising programs and training the next generation of leaders, his work focuses on transforming ambitious ideas into meaningful results.
A Decade of Civil Rights and Political Leadership
Faizan served as Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in Missouri and Texas for over a decade, leading efforts to protect civil rights, combat discrimination, strengthen civic engagement, and advocate for marginalized communities.
During his tenure, he worked extensively with elected officials, community organizations, religious institutions, and media outlets to advance civil rights and influence public policy.
His experience also includes participating in multiple political campaigns, developing community mobilization strategies, strengthening political communications, and helping organizations navigate complex political environments.
Today, Faizan brings this experience to his work as a political strategist and consultant, helping candidates, campaigns, advocacy groups, and organizations develop effective strategies, build coalitions, strengthen messaging, and achieve their objectives.
Building Stronger Nonprofits and Sustainable Organizations
As Co-Founder of A Continuous Charity (ACC), Faizan has helped advance a national nonprofit dedicated to providing interest-free educational loans to Muslim students pursuing higher education.
His nonprofit experience spans fundraising and donor development, strategic planning, organizational growth, executive leadership, community partnerships, and operational management.
Through his nonprofit consulting services, Faizan helps organizations strengthen their fundraising programs, improve operations, develop sustainable revenue strategies, expand their reach, and maximize their impact.
Whether working with an emerging nonprofit or an established organization seeking growth, Faizan provides practical strategies informed by years of hands-on executive leadership.
Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders
As Founder and Director of Inspiring Young Leaders (IYL), Faizan is passionate about equipping young people with the skills, confidence, and character needed to become effective leaders.
Through leadership programs, workshops, and experiential learning opportunities, he has trained thousands of young people in public speaking, debate, critical thinking, civic engagement, and Prophetic leadership.
His approach combines timeless Islamic principles with practical leadership development, preparing students and professionals to communicate effectively, navigate challenges, and lead with integrity.
Author, Speaker, and Educator
Faizan is the author of Powerful Prophetic Activism, a book exploring how lessons from the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ can inspire meaningful social change, principled leadership, and effective community organizing.
He is also the author of Run! Sharia Is Coming, a satirical examination of the political fearmongering surrounding Islam and Muslims in America.
As a public speaker, Faizan brings together compelling storytelling, humor, historical insight, and practical strategies to engage audiences on leadership, civil rights, political engagement, nonprofit development, and social change.
He is available for keynote presentations, conferences, university programs, leadership workshops, community events, and nonprofit fundraising engagements.
